The Day of Your Facial for Acne in London

What is a skin peel?
Skin peels allow for deeper exfoliation of the surface layers of the skin using natural acids and active ingredients. In turn, the skin is transformed as new cell growth and collagen production occurs to help brighten and retexture the skin.
What is the process?
Your skin naturally sheds itself monthly, but this is slow, uneven and not enough to make a permanent change to the skin. Our Dermaquest facials have active ingredients that will improve your skin with the support of peels and LED.
The chemical peel process will encourage fresh skin cells as well as stimulating your own skin’s collagen, utilising non-toxic acids, serums and enzymes topically. The specialist Dermaquest actives will then exfoliate the epidermis and depending on the level of treatment that your Aesthetician will recommend for you, some of the dermis. The latter is particularly key for deeper acne scarring.

Is there down time?

You may find that your skin is still a little red after that time frame or have some final feeling to complete, but some clients find that they can return almost immediately to normal activities.

The industry follows the Fitzpatrick Skin Type scale and our team of Aestheticians have treated all of the skin types.
- Skin Type 1– Light, pale white tone. Very prone to burning and never tans.
- Skin Type 2– White, fair tone. Usually burns, tans with difficulty.
- Skin Type 3– Medium, white to olive tone. Sometimes mild burn, gradually tans to olive.
- Skin Type 4– Olive, moderate to brown tone. Rarely burns, tans with ease to a moderate brown.
- Skin Type 5– Brown, dark brown tone. Very rarely burns, tans very easily.
- Skin Type 6– Black or very dark brown to black tone. Never burns, tans very easily, deeply pigmented.
